Small Business Management Program Fee: $199 for entire program

Whether you are starting or growing your business, this on-line program will provide you with the basics of marketing, finance, customer service and business management.

There are four areas of learning, offering 20 on-line hours of content.  Each area of learning contains an exam. Once you achieve the passing grade of 70% for each of the four exams, you will receive the Small Business Management Certificate (SBMC).  See course modules listed below:

Focus on the Basics  
These courses cover basic business finance and marketing, brought to you by the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) and the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA).  Courses include: Managing Your Cash, Financing Your Business, Understanding Financial Statements and Marketing Basics.

Focus on the Customer  
These courses cover marketing and customer service, brought to you by Vubiz and Strategic Partner, Service Quality Institute (SQI).  Courses include: Marketing Opportunities, The Marketing Mix, Marketing and Customer Service, Introduction to Customer Service,  Understanding Why People Do What They Do, Feelings: Customer Care, Understanding the Effects of Positive and Negative Communications and The Art of Satisfying Customers.

Focus on Management
This area covers strategic management brought to you by the Canadian Society of Management Accountants of Canada (CMA)and management of information and operations courtesy of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CAMC).  Course include: Enabling the Next Generation Enterprise, Implementing Self-Directed Work Teams, Introduction to IT Consulting and Introduction to Operations Management.

Focus on Business Issues  
This area covers key business issues: compliance with privacy legislation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA), work skills from Vubiz, and international trade from Export Development Canada (EDC) and the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT).  Courses include: Primer on Privacy, A Primer on International Trade, An Introduction to International Trade, Effective Communication, Effective Leadership and Delegating.
