And the Winners are: 2014 Mississauga Urban Design Award Recipients

Buildings that are healthy by design were honoured at the 33rd Annual Mississauga Urban Design Awards on Thursday, October 2. The awards program is the longest-running municipal urban design awards program in Ontario.

The theme of this year’s awards was Healthy by Design. The first Healthy by Design award was presented in partnership with the Region of Peel, Public Health Unit.
 
2014 Mississauga Urban Design Awards winners include:
 
Award of Excellence:
• Sheridan College, Hazel McCallion Campus Phase 1

Award of Merit:
• Award of Merit for Community Scale and Innovation: Go Erindale Parking Structure, Terminal & Pedestrian Bridge
• Award of Merit for Innovation and Long Term Strategy: Holcim Waterfront Estate
• Award of Merit for Community Scale: Cooksville Four Corners

Award of Healthy by Design:
• Sheridan College, Hazel McCallion Campus Phase 1
• Hazelton Place

Awards were selected by the Mississauga Urban Design Awards jury.  Jury members included:
