Bodyman
Bodyman
Transit Bodymen are accountable for quality repairs using welding, forming and fabricating techniques. To be successful in this role you are required to possess a 310B Certificate of Qualification from the Ontario Ministry of Training and Universities in the Body Repair Trade, along with 5 years of work experience as a licensed Bodyman; valid Ontario driver’s licence in good standing (B or C licence with Z endorsement preferred.) This is a collective bargaining unit position. Mechanics
Transit Fleet Mechanics are accountable for fleet repairs and preventative maintenance. To be successful in this role you are required to possess a 310T Truck and Coach and 310S Automotive Service Technician trade licences, along with 5 years of work experience as a licensed technician; valid Ontario driver's licence in good standing (B or C licence with Z endorsement preferred) and flexibility to work a variety of shifts including nights and weekends. This is a collective bargaining unit position.

Recreation
Occupations in the City’s Recreation area are responsible for the development, coordination, and/or supervision of a large variety of recreational programming , services and/or facilities. Some examples are aquatics, arts, child care, children’s programs and/or camps, dance, fitness, golf course operations, ice skating, in-line skating, marina operations, marital arts, museum operations, martial arts, pilates, theatre, volleyball and/or yoga. These recreational programs take place throughout the City’s Community Centres.

Records Management
Records Management clerks process, code, store and retrieve records and documents and follow schedules for retaining and disposing of document and files according to established legislation, polices and procedures.

Parks and Forestry
Occupations within parks perform manual work to assist in the construction of landscapes and related structures and to maintain lawns, gardens, sport fields, golf courses, cemeteries, and parks. As well those occupations within forestry conduct research, develop plans, administer and direct programs related to the management of the City’s forest resources.

Materiel Management
Occupations within the field of Materiel Management are involved in assessing purchasing requirements, develop purchasing contracts, develop and/or maintain inventory management systems.

|
Technical Inspections
Occupations within the field of technical inspections have a variety of specializations, for example construction management, design, field inspection, plans examination and supervision and management.
|
|
Skilled Trades
The City of Mississauga has a variety of skilled trade occupations with a specialization in autobody repair, carpentry, commercial/residential painting, electrical, heating ventilation and air conditioning, machining, motive power (AST, Truck & Coach and Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians), plumbing and/or small engine repair.
