Are you Ready for the Bike Challenge? Cycle 350,000 Kilometres and Raise $70,000 for Hospitals

Jul 10, 2019

Pump up your bike tires, strap on your helmet and get ready for Mississauga’s third annual Bike Challenge.

Whether it’s five or 50 kilometres, the challenge aims to encourage residents to ride their bicycle, log their kilometres and help Mississauga reach the 350,000 km goal to support Mississauga’s hospitals through the Trillium Health Partners Foundation – The Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Centre.

A generous community member is donating up to $70,000 if cyclists can rise to the challenge and cycle. For every five kilometres cycled from July 10 to October 26, $1 will be donated to support the Trillium Health Partners Foundation.

Mississauga’s cycling network – it features 500 kilometres of multi-use trails, park paths, bicycle lanes and signed bike routes. Check the map to find your next ride! This year we are challenging new riders to get out and take short rides to your local convenience store, to the bank or for a quick bite to eat. Every kilometre cycled helps.

It’s easy to take part in the Mississauga Bike Challenge. Registration is available at Sign up, ride and log every kilometre.
