It's Waste Reduction Week: Recycle Unwanted Electronics and Clothing at 14 Mississauga Facilities

Oct 17, 2017

For a second year, the City of Mississauga is participating in Partners in Project Green’s Recycling Collection Drive in support of Waste Reduction Week in Canada, October 16 to 22. Throughout the week, Mississauga residents and City employees can drop off unwanted electronics and gently-used clothing to 14 City facilities across Mississauga at no charge.

In 2016, the City collected 4,300 kilograms of waste, accounting for over 60 per cent of the total waste gathered. That’s equivalent to the weight of 39 black bears, 2,150 laptops or 187 full garbage bags of family waste.
