Call for Volunteers! Celebrate National AccessAbility Week by Planting Trees

The City of Mississauga is recognizing National AccessAbility Week (NAAW) with an accessible tree planting event on June 5 at Jaycee Park. Hosted by Parks, Forestry & Environment, the City is looking for volunteers to help plant trees to reach its goal of planting One Million Trees by 2032. Through the event, volunteers will have the chance to learn more about tree planting and the benefits of trees within Mississauga.

NAAW is celebrated across Canada to recognize the contributions of Canadians with disabilities as well as the efforts of Canadians who are actively removing barriers.

What:
Accessible tree planting – help the City reach its goal of planting One Million Trees by 2032 by volunteering for this tree planting project at Jaycee Park. The playground within Jaycee Park won an urban design award for being accessible.

Who:
Open to the public – please register to participate

When:
Wednesday, June 5, 2019
1 to 3 p.m.
