On September 2, MiWay will revise Route 61 Mavis to provide more direct and frequent weekday service along Mavis Road and offer another frequent service option for customers travelling between downtown Mississauga and Sheridan College's Davis Campus in Brampton.
This service improvement is part of the MiWay Five Service Plan that is moving Mississauga's transit system to a grid network, enabling connections with other transit services and delivering more frequent and direct service. The plan supports the City's strategic goal of developing a transit-oriented city.
Service changes include:
|| Service Improvements
||Revised weekday routing and improved connections on Mavis Road from City Centre Transit Terminal to Sheridan College's Davis Campus in Brampton via Steeles Avenue (no longer servicing Derry Road and Financial Drive. Use alternate routes: 42 Derry or 104 Derry Express).
Weekday service frequency to Sheridan College increases to approximately 15 minutes during rush hour and 18 minutes during midday. Together with Route 66, service between Sheridan college campuses in Brampton and Mississauga will be available every six minutes during weekday rush hours.
|Cancelled and replaced with 61 Mavis to eliminate service duplication. Use alternate routes: new 61 Mavis or 66 McLaughlin.
|Several schedules have been revised to improve service reliability and connections with GO Trains.
||Service to secondary and post-secondary schools (including routes 66 McLaughlin, 101A Dundas Express, 107 Malton Express and 110 University Express) resumes on Tuesday, September 3. Visit miway.ca/students for details.
