The City of Mississauga will feature its Central Parkway Rain Garden – a new and green way to manage water runoff on November 12, thanks to a grant from TD Green Streets.
The Central Parkway Rain Garden uses a creative way of catching and using water runoff, filtering it through soil to clean it in underground units, and then providing water for the trees above. This new process improves stormwater management in the area while adding to urban tree cover.
“I’m pleased to be able to showcase this creative solution,” said Ward 4 Councillor Frank Dale. “It is a great example of how green solutions can be used in our day-to-day operations.”
