Today at City Council, two Glenforest Secondary School students were named 2014/15 MiWay Student Ambassadors of the year for their innovative way of spreading the word about riding on MiWay.
“Students, Jane Jomy and Uswa Zahoor, successfully used peer-to-peer communication to promote MiWay as a great transportation option,” said Geoff Marinoff, director of Transit. “These two students creatively used verbal, digital and print to inform, engage and inspire students at Glenforest about MiWay.”
In its fifth year, 18 schools took part in the MiWay Student Ambassador Program.
Students are required to put together a fun and creative program to educate their school community about MiWay.
Jane and Uswa used
