As part of Ontario Public Library week, the Mississauga Comic Expo (MCX) is back by popular demand for its third year. Hosted by the Mississauga Library System, this free, two-day event features local graphic artists, novelists, creators, designers and developers. Held at the Mississauga Central Library, the event hosts a variety of programs and activities for all ages. Dress up as your favourite comic book character and enjoy tabletop sessions, an escape room, a board game lounge, video game-play sessions, Jedi-training workshops, artist/comic book writing workshops and many children’s activities.
This year, well-known Canadian actor Jay Baruchel joins MCX as a special guest and panellist on Saturday, October 21.

The Mississauga Comic Expo is city’s largest comic expo. The Expo highlights local Mississauga and GTA graphic artists, novelists, creators, designers and developers in the graphic arts industry. The Expo has grown in popularity with more than 4,000 attendees expected to attend this year.

The Mississauga Library is one of the largest public library systems in Canada with more than 458,000 registered users. In 2016, the Library welcomed 4.86 million visitors and circulated approximately 6 million items. Since 2016, more than 785,700 eBooks and eAudiobooks have been downloaded. The Library collection consists of 1.06 million items across 18 branches conveniently located throughout Mississauga.
