Join Us for a Smart City Master Plan Public Open House

Apr 16, 2019

Over the past year, residents have provided input for the City of Mississauga’s Smart Cities Challenge and proposed Smart City Master Plan. On April 22, join us for a Public Open House, where City staff will share the proposed Smart City Master Plan and feedback received to date and welcome any additional thoughts and ideas.

The Smart City Master Plan will detail how technology will continue to enhance the quality of life in Mississauga and help build the city of the future.

A Smart City is a municipality that uses data and communication technologies to increase operational efficiency, improve government services and quality of life. This includes free public Wi-Fi, open data, hackathons, Advanced Traffic Management, online services, mobile apps, social media and an Internet of Things (IoT) fibre network that can support everything from traffic management to air quality.
