At the City's annual awards ceremony over 100 Mississauga residents will be honoured for
their outstanding contribution to the community at the Civic Award of Recognition Evening.
Mayor Hazel McCallion, Councillor Sue McFadden and Councillor Carolyn Parrishwill host the
WHEN: Tuesday, March 18, 2008
Ceremony: 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Reception: 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
WHERE: Mississauga Civic Centre, 300 City Centre Drive
(Burnhamthorpe Road and Hurontario Street, west of Square One Shopping Centre)
The ceremony will be held in the Council Chamber, enter via ground floor escalator.
The reception will follow in the Great Hall located on the ground floor.
WHY: The City's Civic Award of Recognition is part of an ongoing recognition program
which has been honouring residents annually since 1992. Other awards in the program include the
Certificate of Recognition and the Civic Award of Merit.
The honoured guests demonstrate a commitment to the City and serve as excellent examples to
others in the community.
