'My Mississauga' Heats up City Centre with Outdoor Concert Series

This weekend 'My Mississauga' features an eclectic and exciting line up of musicians and performers with the Debi Sander Walker Quartet, Peter Elkas and the Javanese Gamelan.

Debi Sander Walker Quartet - Friday, July 11, 2008
The quartet is headed by award winning musician and 'My Mississauga' favourite Debi Sander Walker. Enjoy smooth jazz and your favourite tunes under the stars.

Peter Elkas - Saturday, July 12, 2008

Canadian indie rock singer-songwriter, who has opened for Feist, K-Os and Ron Sexsmith.

Javanese Theatrical Shadow Play - Sunday, July 13, 2008
The City's Office of the Arts and Culture in partnership with 'My Mississauga' will host a Javanese shadow play Semar in Lila Maya, which incorporates puppet theatre, gamelan music and video imagery: Ancient Javanese musical and theatrical arts meet modern storytelling and computer technology. Semar in Lila Maya is presented by the Gamelan Madu Sari (Canada) and Gamelan Wargo Laras (Java).
Time: 9 to 11 p.m.
Location: Library Square, 301 Burnhamthorpe Road West
