The City of Mississauga's 31st annual Blue Jay Day is being held Sunday, August 10 at 1:07
p.m. to support the Jerry Love Children's Fund which provides recreation opportunities for
Mississauga children in need.

Tickets can be purchased through the Jerry Love Fund by contacting Darlene Dimech at
905-896-5322 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and
4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Ticket holders will also have the chance to win:
- a pre-game field visit for four (two pairs)
- the opportunity to participate in the seventh inning stretch (limited to eight
- an invitation to be part of the field presentation (limited to two children)
- four premium seats valued at $63
- autographed baseball
In addition, a Vernon Wells backpack will be given to the first 5,000 children who are 14
years and under.
The Jerry Love Children's Fund is administered by Mississauga Recreation and Parks staff.
One hundred per cent of all donations received go towards children's program registrations.
Families access the fund through a variety of social service agencies including the Region of
Peel Social Assistance, the Children's Aid Society, and the Board of Education Social
