The City of Mississauga, Smart Commute Mississauga, the Mississauga Cycling Advisory
Committee and Metrolinx are working together to host Bike to Work Day on Monday May 25,
"Cyclists can participate in the main ride to Civic Centre from Riverwood Park or ride
from home to Civic Centre. All riders to Civic Centre can enjoy a free pancake breakfast,
giveaways and prizes at Central Library Square after completion of their ride. In
addition, a number of group rides have been organized to various places of employment around
the city," said Glenn Gumulka, Executive Director of Smart Commute Mississauga.

Ride meets at 7:00 a.m. from the MacEwan Barn, Riverwood site located at 4150 Riverwood Park
Lane (Burnhamthorpe Road West and The Credit Woodlands).
Ride departs at 7:30 a.m. and continues eastbound along Burnhamthorpe Road, Creditview Road
to the Ted Ho Trail along Rathburn Road, concluding at Mississauga Civic Centre, north square,
300 City Centre Drive at approximately 8:00 a.m.
Ride will take place rain or shine. There will be giveaways and prizes for ride
participants including a bike computer, bike pannier and LED bike headlight.

Civic and corporate leaders are demonstrating their commitment to sustainable transportation

Bike to Work Day is being recognized by Smart Commute across the Greater Toronto and
Hamilton Area, in collaboration with Metrolinx and area municipalities. For complete
