Mississauga Transit invites people to ride its service for free on New Year's Eve from 7
p.m. until 4 a.m. on New Year's Day, January 1, 2010.
"Welcoming passengers onto our transit system as they celebrate the arrival of the New
Year contributes to community safety and gives many people a reliable and safe way to travel to
and from their destinations for free," said director of Mississauga Transit Geoff
Marinoff.
"For those traveling home after midnight, we're providing extended evening service on
routes that depart from local GO Stations, the Islington Subway Station and other convenient
connection points so it's easy to choose our environmentally-responsible service and experience
the value we deliver," explained Marinoff.
The extended-evening service listing, as well as Mississauga Transit's holiday service levels
from Monday, December 21, 2009 to Sunday, January 3, 2010, are available in the latest issue of
In Transit on www.mississaugatransit.com.
Mississauga Transit is sponsoring the Ride Free on New Year's Eve service, and CBS Outdoor,
