As part of the City of Mississauga's annual Earth Days program, the City is once again
joining municipalities in the Greater Toronto Area to participate in the 20-Minute Makeover on
Friday, April 23.
"Taking care of the environment is everyone's responsibility," said Mayor Hazel
McCallion. "It is important to properly dispose of litter all year round and keep
our parks, watercourses and green spaces beautiful."
"The 20-Minute Mississauga Makeover unites schools, businesses, residents and City
employees to help keep our city clean," said Ward 11 Councillor and Environmental Advisory
Committee Chair, George Carlson. "The small act of picking up litter makes a big
impact when groups of people come together for the same cause - to make a greener and cleaner
