Mississauga Ready to Tackle Litter with 20-Minute Makeover

Apr 20, 2010

As part of the City of Mississauga's annual Earth Days program, the City is once again joining municipalities in the Greater Toronto Area to participate in the 20-Minute Makeover on Friday, April 23.

"Taking care of the environment is everyone's responsibility," said Mayor Hazel McCallion.  "It is important to properly dispose of litter all year round and keep our parks, watercourses and green spaces beautiful."

"The 20-Minute Mississauga Makeover unites schools, businesses, residents and City employees to help keep our city clean," said Ward 11 Councillor and Environmental Advisory Committee Chair, George Carlson.  "The small act of picking up litter makes a big impact when groups of people come together for the same cause - to make a greener and cleaner city."
