Pepsi Foundations $25,000 contribution.

boost to our recreation programming, said Recreation and Parks Director John Lohuis. The
Pepsi Foundations support will make activities more affordable to youth, which is a goal of
the Citys strategic plan, helping residents thrive in our community. This contribution
will get more youth involved, while encouraging the start of a healthy and active
lifestyle. Initiatives like this will ultimately result in a healthier population down

saw an increase of 106 youth registered in recreation programs over the past year.
Thanks to The Pepsi Foundations donation, youth whose families would not have been able to
afford summer programming will be given the opportunity to take part in swimming, skating and
other activities, said Lohuis.
This is the second year that we have supported the Jerry Love Childrens Fund, said Pepsi
Foundation President Denis Sacks. We are committed to supporting causes that provide
positive opportunities in the community. Seeing the difference our contribution made in
2009 and the increase in the number of registrants made it a clear choice for us again this
