MiWay - the City's new Mississauga Transit - invites people to ride its service for free on
New Year's Eve and on New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 2011.
"This initiative contributes to community safety in Mississauga and it's an opportunity
for new customers in particular to experience the value we deliver to passengers who ride our
transit system all year round," said Geoff Marinoff, director of Transit.
"For those planning to travel home after midnight, we're providing extended evening
service on routes that depart from local malls and GO Stations, as well as from the Islington
Subway Station. This makes it easy for passengers to plan a trip whether they need to travel
between cities or within Mississauga," said Marinoff.
