Port Credit Memorial Arena Official Reopening Celebration

The Port Credit Memorial Arena officially reopens to the public on Saturday, April 30 with a celebration including free skating, refreshments and entertainment.

The arena, designated an Ontario Heritage Property in 2008, was recently renovated making the facility fully accessible, while preserving its historical significance. The building’s new addition features an open and inviting lobby area in the upper and lower levels; upgraded change rooms with showers; a multipurpose room; a larger, more functional concession with heated viewing area and an elevator.

Who: Join Mayor Hazel McCallion, Ward 1 Councillor Jim Tovey and special guests for the official reopening ceremony.

What: Port Credit Memorial Arena Reopening - As part of the official ceremony, a time capsule commissioned by the Port Credit 175th Anniversary Committee will be sealed into a wall of the facility – to be opened in 25 years, on the Town of Port Credit’s 200th anniversary.

When: Saturday, April 30
11 a.m. – Official Ceremony,
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Free skating, entertainment and refreshments

Parking is available on site, at the Port Credit Branch Library or Port Credit GO Station.
