The City of Mississauga will showcase The Americans, an exhibition of photographs by Gauri Gill, with a focus on South Asian communities. Gill's photographs are described as "an intimate look at the interior worlds in a pre- and post-9/11 landscape, often populated by family and friends, documenting tensions between optimism and the realities of class, race and cultural differences."

The Mississaugans, photographs about the people and places of Mississauga, will be on view alongside The Americans. Gauri Gill has selected images provided by Mississauga photographers, bloggers, tweeters and hobbyists for this unique view of Mississauga culture.
