Earth Days Continue in Mississauga

Apr 26, 2011

The City of Mississauga continues to celebrate Earth Day with a Litter Awareness Blitz on April 29 and a Tree Planting Event at Rathwood Park on April 30.

“After the success of the 20-Minute Mississauga Makeover, the City wants to continue working with the community to help keep our neighbourhoods clean and green,” said Ward 11 Councillor George Carlson, Environmental Advisory Committee Chair. “With the development of the City’s Living Green Master Plan and programs like Don’t be a LitterBug, there are a few ways that residents can get involved in helping to protect our environment throughout the year. Remember Earth Day is every day.”
