the Don McLean Westacres outdoor pool.

City of Mississauga Recreation and Facilities & Property Management staff will be available
to answer questions.
The development and maintenance of recreational buildings, programs and services is a priority
for the City. Don McLean Westacres Outdoor Pool is 47 years old and serves approximately 85,000
residents. Construction will update the pools systems to make more efficient use of
energy and water and improve accessibility for residents of all ages.
Among other improvements, reinvesting in this outdoor pool and building will significantly
expand the outdoor pools lifespan. It will include updating facility change rooms and
washrooms, replacing the pool tank and pool deck and bringing the facility to Accessibility for
Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards with the addition of two barrier-free parking
Construction will start mid-April. The pool will be closed for the 2013 season and will reopen
for the 2014 outdoor pool season. Residents are invited to visit the Citys many indoor
and outdoor pools during the Don McLean Westacres outdoor pool closure. For more information

Project costs will be funded through the City of Mississaugas Capital Budget program with
support from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (www.feddevontario.gc.ca).
