Beginning today, General Committee meetings now stream live online from the Council Chamber
on the RogersTV website.
This new service allows citizens to watch General Committee as well as City Council meetings
via a link from the City of Mississauga website to the RogersTV website.
"By offering this live streaming and access to the proceedings 24 hours a day, seven
days a week, citizens are able to access information when and how they want - on their own
schedule," said Crystal Greer, director, Legislative Services & Clerk. "We
believe that this will strengthen citizens' understanding of how their municipal government
City Council and General Committee meetings will continue to take place Wednesday mornings
at 9 a.m. To watch the live streaming, visit mississauga.ca/videos.
Past meetings of City Council and General Committee are also available for citizens to view
as archives at mississauga.ca/videos, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at a time and
place convenient to them.
