Through its Community Infrastructure Improvement Fund (CIIF), the federal government has
committed $990,000 toward the redevelopment of the Streetsville Main Street Square. The
purpose of the fund is to encourage economic benefits and help enhance local facilities through
increased energy efficiency and accessibility.
Streetsville Main Street Square redevelopment will create an outdoor space and urban
destination while respecting the communitys significant heritage and village
history. Concept design plans centralize the cenotaph within the new square, incorporate
energy efficient light and sound systems and accessible features to create a community focal
point for local festivals, events and celebrations.
