Congratulations to Rick Hansen Secondary School

The City of Mississauga congratulates Rick Hansen Secondary School’s robotics team, Theory6, for winning the 2013 ‘World FIRST Robotics Championship title this spring.

400 teams from around the world competed in the finals which were held in St. Louis.

Since 2003, Mississauga's Hershey Centre has been the location of the FIRST Robotics Competition where high school students participate in a North America-wide robotics competition.

City of Mississauga Gets Gold Status In Youth Friendly Community Recognition Program

The City of Mississauga, as part of its strategic plan is focused on attracting and retaining youth. The City has post-secondary educational opportunities and this April the City of Mississauga received "gold status" as a Youth Friendly Community from Play Works – a group of organizations across Ontario that have joined forces to encourage communities to open doors and reinvest in youth play.
