This week, Mayor Hazel McCallion received the Paul Fox Award from University of Toronto Mississauga for her outstanding volunteer service to the Mississauga Campus.

"This award from the University of Toronto Mississauga is an honour," said Mayor Hazel McCallion. "It is wonderful to have post-secondary educational opportunities in Mississauga. They build our communities, develop talent and culture and ensure our City thrives. Mississauga is attracting and retaining talented people from around the world and in the community and we cannot do this without our education partners."

The University of Toronto Mississauga's nominating committee for the Paul Fox Award reported: "Through her leadership, vision and policies, Mayor Hazel McCallion has been instrumental in providing a healthy, smart, world-class city for our graduates to live, work and raise their families."
