The City of Mississauga will host a media photo opportunity on Friday, May 24 to kick-off
construction of the new Woodlands Library.

About the Facility
Woodlands Library originally opened on April 7, 1975. It was the first neighbourhood library to
be attached to a school and to start out with 5,500 square feet of space. When the new library
opens in late 2014, it will include a lounge area, Wi-Fi service, a program room that can be
rented out for events and more than 7,200 square feet of space.
