Mayor Hazel McCallion Holds Second Budget Town Hall Meeting

Mayor Hazel McCallion invites Mississauga taxpayers to a Town Hall style meeting on Tuesday, May 17 to understand how the funds generated through property taxes are being used to fund the City’s roads and water systems.

“Our first Budget Town Hall meeting was so successful that I want to continue the conversation with residents on how we manage the funding for roads and water systems throughout the City,” said Mayor McCallion. “It’s important for residents to understand how we come up with the budget for the City and how their tax dollars are being used to provide services.”

What: Mayor’s Budget Town Hall Meeting on Roads and Water Systems – Mayor McCallion will be joined by City Manager Janice Baker, Transportation and Works staff and representatives from the Region of Peel to explain the services that are supported by property taxes, and present an overview on the shared business of maintaining roads and water systems.
