Mississauga's transit system - MiWay - is introducing improvements to its Saturday service
effective May 16, 2011.
"Routes 202-Hurontario and 19A-Hurontario-Britannia will begin operating on Saturdays to
offer customers additional service options along Hurontario Street," said Geoff Marinoff,
director of Transit. "To reduce wait time, routes 202 and 19/19A will provide an
approximate six-minute combined service frequency during core hours (between 9 a.m. and 9
p.m.). This frequent service will be available at shared bus stops between the Port Credit GO
Station and Britannia Road."
Other weekend service improvements include:
More frequent Saturday service on Route 5 - Dixie. Buses will now depart stops every 23
minutes during core hours for greater reliability and consistency of service.
Weekend service to Canada's Wonderland, via Route 88-Wonderland, begins on Saturday, May
Weekday service improvements, effective Monday, May 16, 2011, include more frequent midday
service on Route 16/16A-Malton and on Route 36-Colonial.
