MiWay is Your Way to Canada Day Events

Jun 29, 2011

The City of Mississauga's MiWay transit staff invite customers to bring a friend on-board for free all-day on Canada Day, July 1. Children in grades one to eight can also ride for free.

"Children in grades one to eight can ride for free when travelling with someone that pays a fare by showing their pass or paying with a ticket or cash," said Geoff Marinoff, director of Transit. "Bring a friend means a family of four could ride for only a single fare if the children are in elementary or middle school and if one of the adults pays a fare."

"This promotion is a great opportunity for people attending the Mississauga Celebration Square events in particular, to experience the value that we deliver all-year round to customers who choose our environmentally-responsible service," added Marinoff.

Extended service hours in the evening will be available on several routes. For details, visit
