The City of Mississauga's 30th Annual Urban Design Awards will be presented in the Council
Chamber at the City's Civic Centre on November 22, 2011. The Mayor, Members of Council
and staff from the City's Planning and Building Department will attend to congratulate those
selected for excellence in urban design. The awards program is the longest running
municipal urban design competition in Ontario.

of York Blvd. and Burnhamthorpe Rd. W.
Cityzen Development Group will also be on hand for a special presentation on the design and
construction of the iconic Absolute tower, widely known as the "Marilyn" building.
Located at Burnhamthorpe Road East and Hurontario Street, the structure, known for its
curvaceous design, is the result of an international design competition held in 2006.
architect Yansong Ma, designer of the 'Marilyn' building, will be in attendance for the awards
ceremony and the reception to follow.
