Mayor Hazel McCallion invites Mississauga taxpayers to a Town Hall style meeting on
Wednesday, January 18th to understand how the funds generated through property taxes are being
used to fund Human Services and Waste Management in the Region of Peel.
What: Mayors Budget Town Hall Meeting on Human Services and Waste Management
Mayor McCallion will be joined by City of Mississauga City Manager and CAO, Janice
Baker, to explain the services that are supported by property taxes. Region of Peel staff will
present an overview on the business of operating and maintaining the Regions Waste
Management and Human Services programs. Topics include resource allocation, the cost of program
delivery and funding challenges.
