City of Mississauga BraeBen and Lakeview Golf Courses Now Open For 2012 Golf Season

Due to warm spring weather, the City of Mississauga’s two award-winning golf courses, BraeBen and Lakeview, are now open for the 2012 golf season.

The City of Mississauga celebrated another award win when, at its banquet held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, the Ontario Golf Association presented BraeBen Golf Course with Ontario Golf Coach Awards - Facility of the Year.

“This award recognizes BraeBen Golf Course and its staff for inspiring, innovating and sharing their knowledge of the sport with others,” said Community Services commissioner Paul Mitcham.  “They have done an outstanding job in taking a leadership role and made a significant contribution to the sport and to developing skills and confidence of youth in our community.”

In previous years, Lakeview Golf Course was awarded Best Value Public/Semi Private Golf Course in the Greater Toronto Area by the Toronto Sun Annual Golfer’s Choice Awards.
