The City of Mississauga, in partnership with The Department of National Defence and Peel
Regional Police, announces the grand opening of the Garry W. Morden Centre - Dedicated to Fire
and Life Safety. This centre will serve as the training ground for fire and emergency services,
information technology, police and military. It will feature programs that specialize in fire
suppression, hazardous materials, auto extrication, a driver training circuit and highway
training props.

The City of Mississauga will host a grand opening ceremony of the Garry W. Morden Centre,
Dedicated to Fire and Life Safety, followed by a site tour featuring demonstrations by
firefighters, police and military in action.

The Facility:
The Garry W. Morden Centre is a partnership with The Department of National Defence and Peel
Regional Police. It will house fire and emergency response programs, staff and equipment, a
Peel Regional Police driver circuit and the Toronto Scottish Regiment from The Department of
National Defence.
