Latest Downtown Plans on Public Display June 26

Jun 21, 2012

The public will learn more about how Mississauga plans to build its vibrant, walkable downtown at an open house June 26. Displays will include maps and visuals that represent the new planning framework needed to create a more people-friendly downtown.

This open house starts a new round of public consultations as the City moves to put elements of the Downtown21 Master Plan in place. The plan, endorsed by City Council in 2010, sets out a vision for creating a more vibrant downtown - a key priority identified in Mississauga's Strategic Plan

The event is being held alongside the Hurontario-Main Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project open house.  The LRT, which will serve downtown Mississauga, is an essential part of the City's downtown plan.
