Celebrate Canadas 145th birthday at Mississauga Celebration Square with a
dynamic lineup of free live performances including family friendly Puss in Boots Live, pop
sensation Carly Rae Jepsen, and Juno Award winning electro-pop band Dragonette.
This will be another exciting Canada Day for the City of Mississauga, said Mayor
Hazel McCallion. We are proud to host such a wonderful event at Mississauga Celebration
Square. I look forward to celebrating both Mississaugas community and our nations
birthday. Let the festivities begin!

1 p.m. Official Ceremony
Festivities get underway with Mayor Hazel McCallion, Members of Council and special guests
at the official ceremony, hosted by Global Torontos Antony Robart.

Road Closures, MiWay Special Offer and Events Across the City
Road closures will be in effect in and around the City Centre from June 30 July
1. Refer to the Canada Day website for
full details. Public parking in the area will be limited and residents are encouraged to
take public transit.
MiWay is your way to Canada Day celebrations. On July 1, MiWay has a special offer:
pass holders (weekly, monthly annual, U-Pass) can bring a friend for free all day. Children
(Grades 1-8) also ride free when accompanied by a fare-paying passenger. Extended service is

Port Credit and Streetsville are also hosting Canada Day
celebrations on July 1. For more information on these events, visit the event

Residents are encouraged to come to one of the Citys Canada Day celebrations for the
safest way to enjoy fireworks.
