Residents are invited to participate in a public meeting seeking feedback regarding the
development of the City of Mississauga Sports Tourism Strategy.
Weve had the opportunity to hold a number of successful sporting events in Mississauga and
are looking to identify and attract events that will enhance the economy through tourism, said
Jason Klomp, Manager, Sports.
What: Tourism Strategy Public Meeting Join City staff and consultants for a
conversation regarding opportunities for bringing sporting events to the City. Based on
discussions with local sports organizations, facilities and hospitality venues, the
presentation will focus on the benefits of a planned approach, current hosting capabilities,
resources required and how a focused approach can support the community, local economy and
promote sport and active lifestyles.
