City of Mississauga Facilities to reopen Monday Morning

Aug 17, 2003

MISSISSAUGA, ON - The City of Mississauga will be open for business on Monday, August 18, 2003. All City facilities will be open and City programs and services will be operating.

Following the advice of Enersource Hydro Mississauga and the Province of Ontario, we will continue to conserve energy wherever possible at City facilities. That means:
? minimal use of power for lighting and equipment
? reduced use of air conditioning

Residents and businesses are asked to conserve energy during this time. This includes reduced use of appliances like dishwashers, washers and dryers during peak hours.
According to Enersource Hydro Mississauga, there is a possibility that rotating power outages will affect residential homes and businesses for periods of 30 minutes throughout the next few days.

Please monitor the media and our City web site at www.mississauga.ca for further updates.
