Budget Committee Begins 2014 City Budget Discussions June 26

The Budget Committee will meet to discuss the City’s 2014 Budget for the first time this Wednesday afternoon.  The committee will hear an overview from City staff about Mississauga’s finances, services the City currently provides, and financial requirements for new programs and initiatives for 2014. 

The Committee’s discussion and direction will help City staff develop more detailed plans and budget requests to ensure the City can deliver all approved programs and services next year. The Budget Committee will begin discussions on these detailed plans at their next meeting in the fall of 2013.

Where:          Civic Centre Council Chamber, 300 City Centre Drive

                        (Burnhamthorpe Road and Duke of York Boulevard) 

When:            11 a.m. – 3 p.m.  (start time is approximate)
