Get Down with Webster this Canada Day at Mississauga Celebration Square!

Celebrate Canada’s 146th birthday at Mississauga Celebration Square with a dynamic lineup of free live performances including pop rockers Down with Webster, Young Empires and Eleven Past One.  This year’s event will start at 4 p.m. and end with fireworks.

“Tens of thousands of people celebrate Canada Day in Mississauga,” said Mayor Hazel McCallion. “The festivities at Mississauga Celebration Square have become tradition.  I look forward each year to seeing people come together to celebrate the birthday of our great country in our downtown square.”

Schedule of Events

Main Stage:
4 p.m.  Official Ceremony - Mayor Hazel McCallion, Members of Council and the Mississauga Celebration Square Events Committee kick things off with special guests at the official ceremony, hosted by Global Toronto’s Leslie Roberts and Liza Fromer. This year’s ceremony will include delegates from Mississauga’s sister city, Kariya, Japan as well as a reaffirmation ceremony for citizens.

Road Closures

Road closures will be in effect in and around the City Centre from June 30 – July 1.  Refer to the Canada Day website for full details.  Public parking in the area will be limited and residents are encouraged to take public transit.

Canada Day is part of Summer Is Big, the City’s summer lineup of free events at Mississauga Celebration Square.
