City Uses Twitter to Engage Community in Public Art Development

The City of Mississauga and the Art Gallery of Mississauga (AGM) have teamed-up to host a Twitter chat with celebrated artist Dan Bergeron to engage the community in a creative discussion on the development of an art piece to be installed at the Civic Centre skate park.

Twitter Chat Details

What: An interactive Twitter discussion with artist, Dan Bergeron to inspire the artistic direction of the project.

When: Wednesday July 3, noon to 1 p.m.

How to Participate: Log onto Twitter, follow City of Mississauga’s Culture Division (@SaugaCulture) and Dan Bergeron (@iamfauxreel). Add hashtag #saugapublicart to the end of each tweet during the chat.

Dan Bergeron is a GTA-based artist with an interest in how the community views public spaces around them in inventive and stimulating ways. Dan's photo-based work has been commissioned by the likes of the Art Gallery of Ontario, Royal Ontario Museum, City of Toronto, Luminato, Evergreen Brickworks and most recently the City of Mississauga.
