Storm Update - July 9th, 12:30 p.m.

MISSISSAUGA - The City of Mississauga's 311 Call Centre is experiencing a high volume of calls due to the impact of the recent storm.  Residents are asked to please be patient and all calls will be answered as quickly as possible. 

Please be advised: If you are experiencing flooding as a result of overflowing water from a floor drain, laundry tub, toilet, sink with a strong odour (foul) and it is not clear, please call 311 and press #1 or contact the Region of Peel at 905-791-7800 ext. 4409.

For flooding as a result of water coming in from exterior walls, eaves, basement windows, basement walls or the floor (through cracks or gaps), including sump pumps please call 311.

The City would also like to remind residents to be extremely careful around water and electricity and to contact qualified professionals and their insurance companies to report flooded basements.

Due to severe flooding, a number of Mississauga sport fields and parks are closed.  For a complete listing of all impacted fields and parks, please call the Recreation and Parks Customer Service Centre at 905-615-4100 or visit the City's website.  Lakeview Golf Course also remains closed.

At this time all community centres, arenas, pools and libraries are open, however residents are asked to call each facility directly to confirm operating hours and program schedules.

MiWay is operating at full service levels.

Residents are reminded to stay away from swollen creeks and rivers.
