A section of Eglinton Avenue East from Eastgate Parkway/Creekbank Road to Spectrum Way will be closed on two consecutive weekends in November for construction of the Mississauga Transitway.
Temporary closures will occur on the following weekends:
Friday, November 1 from 9 p.m. to Monday, November 4 at 6 a.m.
Friday, November 8 from 9 p.m. to Monday, November 11 at 6 a.m.
All traffic will be required to use an alternate route. Detour routes will be available on Eastgate Parkway, Creekbank Road, and Matheson Boulevard.
The temporary closure is for the construction of a storm sewer crossing Eglinton Avenue. This construction is part of Phase 2 of the Mississauga Transitway project. Phase 1 of the project is scheduled to open in spring 2014.
