The City of Mississauga along with partners The International Centre, SME Canada and the
Canadian Air & Space Museum, will be hosting an official ceremony to kick-off Doors Open
Mississauga 2013 on September 28, 2013.
A full size replica of the AVRO Arrow will be the highlight of the opening ceremony
Doors Open is part of Culture Days weekend. Culture Days is a Canadian volunteer movement
focused on raising the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement of all Canadians
in the arts and cultural life of their communities. Doors Open is Mississauga's signature
activity during Culture Days.
Through Doors Open, more than 40 Mississauga establishments will open their doors to host a
range of unique activities, performances and guided tours. All sites will be open from 10 a.m.
to 4 p.m. and admission is free. A list of all participating sites can be found by visiting the

An opening ceremony to officially kick-off Doors Open Mississauga 2013.
A special presentation focused on the AVRO Arrow will be featured during the ceremony. Canada's
only full scale replica of the Arrow will be on hand during the opening ceremony and will be
available to visitors throughout the day for Doors Open at The International Centre.
