Celebrating Design Excellence: 32nd Mississauga Urban Design Awards Kick Off Culture Days

Mississauga’s latest and greatest architectural gems will be honoured this Friday evening at the 32nd annual Mississauga Urban Design Awards. 

This year’s theme is appropriately “Public Art”, as the awards kick off Culture Days celebrations across the city with a cascading exhibit in the Great Hall of the Civic Centre.

Cascading Mississauga, Public Art Display
Cascading Mississauga, designed by artist Amanda Browder is comprised of over 900 pieces of donated community fabric.  The artist is interested in creating a connection to art and everyday life with a friendly process that invites participation and envisions the vibrant burst of colours as a definition of the spirit of Mississauga, a place of good energy and a bright future.

The Mississauga Urban Design Awards is the longest running municipal urban design competition in Ontario.
