Service of Recognition and Remembrance

On Thursday, September 11, 2003 at 11 a.m. a Service of Remembrance and Recognition will be celebrated at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in honour of the dedicated service provided to the citizens of Mississauga by Emergency Service personnel.

Members of the Peel Region Ambulance Services, Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services, and Peel Regional Police will gather outside the church at 10:45 a.m. for an Honour Guard presentation. Inside the church, joint emergency services personnel as well as the families and friends of those members who are recently departed, will participate in wreath laying, religious observance and testimonials.

Presiding at the service will be the Reverend Dr. James Cooper, Pastor of St. Andrew's, the Reverend Peter Barrow, Halton Police Chaplain, and the Reverend Keith Kiddell, Mississauga Fire Chaplain.

Members of the community are invited to attend this Service. St. Andrew's is located at 24 Stavebank Road North in Mississauga.
