The City of Mississauga has appointed Lesley Pavan as Director, Development and Design, Planning and Building Department, effective March 3, 2014.
Pavan will be responsible for managing all business functions of the Development and Design Division and for championing corporate strategic priorities. She replaces Marilyn Ball.
“Lesley will be responsible for providing innovative, strategic and visionary development expertise and will recommend and lead development and urban design priorities for the City,” said Commissioner of Planning and Building, Ed Sajecki. “Lesley has a significant amount of experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams of professionals to achieve successful development and project related outcomes. She will ensure future developments align with the City’s strategic vision.”
Lesley has been a valued member of the Planning & Building Department since 1993, and is currently leading the City’s Downtown Transit project within the Transportation and Works Department. This includes the development plan for all forms of movement in the downtown, as part of the City’s Downtown 21 Master Plan.
