Seniors' One Dollar MiWay Ride Extended into 2016

Dec 11, 2015

This week, Mississauga City Council extended the one dollar cash MiWay fare for seniors that began in June. City and Region of Peel staff will report back in 2016 on the findings of the one dollar pilot and the Region's Affordable Transit Pilot Program.

The one dollar cash fare for seniors is valid on MiWay during off-peak hours:

• Weekdays from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• Weekdays after 7 p.m.
• Anytime on weekends or holidays

On request, senior riders (age 65+) must present a piece of valid photo identification or a MiWay issued senior identification card to the bus driver to receive the one dollar fare.
