Yellow Ducks Invade Credit River

MISSISSAUGA, September 25, 2003 --- 500 rubber ducks will bob down the Credit River at the City of Mississauga's annual rubber duck race. All ticket sale proceeds purchased by City employees will benefit the United Way.

Two Mississauga Transit buses wrapped with Subaru of Mississauga and Cooksville Dodge Chrysler Inc. logos will provide free shuttle service to and from the Mississauga Civic Centre to Erindale Park at 11 and 11:30 a.m., returning at 12:30 and 1 p.m. These two local businesses have donated a total of $1600 to the United Way Employee Campaign.

The City's United Way Employee Campaign runs from September 19 to December 5, with an overall goal of raising $140,000. Other events include the Bus & Truck Pull held at the Mississauga Civic Centre on Thursday, October 9 and the ever popular Haunted House held at Cawthra Estate on Wednesday, October 29 and Thursday, October 30.
